Treat Erectile Dysfunctions

Viagra is the first anti-impotence or erectile dysfunction drug and was manufactured by Pfizer in 1998. Viagra is blue colored, diamond shaped pill. It contains key ingredient Sildenafil Citrate, a component that works by increasing blood flow to the penis while a male sexually stimulated.

The increased blood flow makes it easier to obtain and maintain an erection. Viagra takes 20 minutes to an hour to get into effect and would be effective up to 4 hours. Due to its long lasting proven records with very mild side effects it became familiar house hold name. Viagra is also known as "Blue Pill".

Cialis is the latest addition to the anti-impotence drugs manufactured by Lilly ICOS LLC.

It contains key ingredient Tadalafil, works by inhibiting an enzyme called PDE5 found primarily in the smooth muscle tissue of the penis' arterial walls and the lungs.

By inhibiting PDE5, Tadalafil helps in relaxing blood vessels of the penis and facilitates increased blood flow, which enables a prolonged erection. After completion of sexual activity, erection disappears and the penis turns to flaccid state again. Cialis takes 30 minutes to get into effect and would be effective up to 36 hours. Due to its long lasting effect Cialis is also known as "La Weekend Pill".

Impotence causes:
 - Surgery that can injure nerves and arteries near the penis, causing male impotence.
 - Injury to the penis, spinal cord, prostate, bladder, and pelvis can lead to impotence.
 - Drugs and medicines. Some blood pressure drugs, antihistamines, antidepressants, tranquilizers, appetite suppressants, and ulcer drugs can produce impotence as a side effect.
 - Hormonal abnormalities such as not enough testosterone.
